Where to find the best routes
Exploring the Area
The towns and villages in this region are surrounded by a vast network of gravel roads, dirt tracks, trails, ancient Roman ways, and pilgrimage routes. While there are also plenty of paved roads, I personally prefer to avoid the asphalt whenever possible. Along many of these paths, you will find signposts indicating local destinations and the distances required to reach them.
Finding Your Way
What I personally enjoy most is simply picking a rough direction on a map and setting off on the bike. A huge advantage of an e-MTB is that if you take a wrong turn, it takes very little effort to double back and try the next path.
However, if you prefer more structured navigation, I highly recommend using apps like Komoot or Trailforks, both of which feature numerous pre-planned MTB routes.
Mounting Your Phone
Every bike is equipped with a Quad Lock mounting system. If you already have a Quad Lock phone case, you can click it right onto the bike. If not, we have universal adapters available for rent so you can mount your own phone (please note: this is at your own risk!).
More Information
Further down, you will find more detailed information about routes in the various local municipalities. Below each section, there is a button that leads to a dedicated page with additional info and GPX tracks that you can download to your own device or a rented navigation system. That said, for the best experience, I still recommend using the Komoot or Trailforks apps.
